  I love shopping at Woolworths and always find great service from the check-out operators. But today i realised that the training that the young staff receive is nothing like it used to be years ago when i was a check-out chick at the newly opened Riverdale supermarket. From here on in I will be watching my groceries carefully as they are packed. I had $95 of groceries lined up and visible before the girl came to serve me from another area. When i was put the groceries into my trolley i found my cold items spread over a number of bags. I only had 4 small cold items they should have been put in the same bag so that i could keep them together and put them into an esky which was in my car, after all it is summer and the weather is hot outside. Then I discovered celery and a half dozen apples packed with my carton of eggs with a large tin of pineapple on top of the eggs. I would have thought that my bread or biscuits would have gone better on top of the eggs and the fruit and vegetables kept together...or anywhere except weighted onto the eggs. It was very obvious that the staff person was grabbing the first things to come to hand even though she had a choice of which items to pack together. I feel that no care at all was given to my groceries. I do prefer the older workers because they understand groceries where as the young ones havent had that experience. Please train your staff how to pack groceries for travelling. Us shoppers depend on it.
